About The Author

Born in Los Angeles, California in 1954 to Shanel Settles and Ronald Littlefield, the eldest of two sons.  Sadly, after the divorce of his parents, Anthony and his younger brother, Ronald were sent to live with their paternal grandmother, Juanita Littlefield Smith in Columbus, Ohio. At an early age Anthony developed a love for history. While a sophomore at Columbus East High School, Anthony received a grade of A for the entire school year in the subject of history. “I believe that civilizations that build and educate are remembered for ever.”

A product of the Columbus, Ohio public school system, Anthony also attended classes at Franklin University. Anthony has just completed his 37th year with his employer in Columbus. A significant highlight in Anthony’s career was his joining the ranks of published authors with the late 2008 publishing of his journey of discovery, Bittersweet Journey: The Story of the Wounding, Healing and Triumph of a Family.

Travel has always been an important aspect of his life. “I thoroughly enjoy visiting and understanding the culture and customs of other people and their lands. One of the most effective ways to understand people is to be able to communicate. When the opportunity presented itself for me to become a writer, I sought out an organization to help me improve these skills. The organization I turned to was International Training in Communications better known as ITC. Through this wonderful group of very talented people I learned, and equally important, put into practice communication skills I never knew I was capable of.”

An avid football and basketball fan Anthony enjoys all levels of competition. Nothing is more important to Anthony than the love, caring and protection of the many splendid features of nature and the precious world we inhabit.

Anthony’s writing has been greatly influenced by Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Ernest Gaines, Terry McMillan and Tom Clancy, all giants in the literary world.
